Kadima Design is a German furniture brand that is focused on interior design, including carpets, furniture and various decorative elements.
In 2023 we were tasked with helping Kadima Design not to just migrate the store from Magento to Shopify but also completeley redesign and rebuild the store. They were in need of a CMS that allows easy management and scaling. The new website had to be integrated with an ecommerce ERP system as well as marketplaces such as Amazon and Otto.

The Challenge
The client had a large assortment of about 5,000 items to migrate to Shopify. Each item also had several variations in colors/materials. A separate challenge was the large number of product attributes that needed to be added to Shopify – up to 20-30 attributes per product.
The Approach
To switch to Shopify, we took the Expanse theme, which is pretty good prepared for large catalogs and has a nice look and feel. We significantly changed the functionality and layout of the product page to tailor it to the specifics of selling furniture.
The website was realized in two languages: German and English. A Blog was created and styled as a future instrument for SEO and email-marketing.

Customizations
We customized Expanse theme to a great extent. We modified the product gallery so that each variation would have its own separate gallery. We also made it possible to display attributes for each product variation. SEO optimization add-ons has also been implemented.
